Mardi 12 mars, à l'occasion de la semaine des mathématiques, et sous un soleil radieux, les lycéens se sont prêtés au jeu et ont participé dans la cour du lycée à une animation d'échecs.

Laurent Bruneau, maître FIDE et joueur de l'association de Pau "échiquier Henri IV" a mené une partie simultanée face à une vingtaine d'élèves et professeurs à la fois. Le principe est simple : toutes les parties sont lancées en même temps. Dès qu'une partie s'arrête, un autre joueur prend la place et une nouvelle partie démarre. En 1h45 de temps presque 50 parties d'échecs se sont donc enchaînées contre une trentaine d'adversaires. Certains ont su tenir tête un peu plus longtemps au maître FIDE à l'instar d'un certain professeur d'EPS !

Cette animation a attiré beaucoup d'élèves curieux et intéressés par ce jeu  stratégique et indémodable. Cela en a très certainement incité plus d'un à ressortir les échiquiers des placards !

A l'occasion de la Semaine des mathématiques le lycée participe notamment au rallye maths, quatre de nos élèves participent également à l'Olympiade des Mathématiques au Lycée Saint-Cricq à Pau mercredi 13 mars et une conférence  "L'homme contre la machine à travers les jeux" est proposée aux élèves vendredi 15 mars.

 Mme Martorana a expérimenté avec sa classe de Terminale ES l'utilisation de casques de Réalité virtuelle en classe d'histoire et géographie.
 
Ce projet, rendu possible grâce au Réseau Canopé qui fournit le matériel innovant et qui a encadré l'expérimentation a permis aux élèves de s'immerger dans une grande métropole japonaise. Les élèves, dotés du casque virtuel ont visionné une vidéo filmée en 360° et ont pu découvrir plusieurs quartiers de Tokyo.

Animals’ holidays

  Animals’ holidays is an online website. People who want to go on holidays must write when they go on holidays. Members who love animals can keep them when their owners aren't there. They just need to click and say when it's possible to take other members’ animals with them. Sometimes people who use this website may become friends. There are a few criteria to keep animals during the owners’ holidays (you must have a garden....). It's less expensive than a kennel because you don’t have to buy their food. It allows people to travel without their animals. It's funnier for animals to go into other people's house than staying alone in their home. We tried animals’ holidays just one month after its creation which was on January, 10th in 2008, because we went to St Tropez in a luxe hotel which doesn't allow animals. That’s how we discovered this website. We think there aren’t any drawbacks. We met the people who were going to keep our cats before our travel. It was a great experience.

                                     SWAPOBJECT

            SwapObject is a website which enables people to swap objects online. It’s more useful and less expensive than LeBonCoin. It was created in January in 2017 and it’s more and more popular. The website is available only in France. It’s not really safe because we can give objects which are stolen or broken. If the objects are damaged you must pay a bail. It allows people to save money and meet other people. You can give objects which are unnecessary and it’s the quickest website, for example when Bob needs a shovel to work and Chloé needs a car to go on holidays, they just have to exchange their objects. Consequently, you can exchange anything. You may meet other people and you could have new friends.

Go gardening !


It is an organisation which enables people to exchange advice on gardening. The website consists in teaching gardening to help young people. It is easy to use and a lot of people use it. I discovered this organization in the New York Times newspaper. The creator of the website who is a famous person is George Wilson. The drawback is that the website is just in English and some people may not understand English. It allows people to have free advice. Other people may solve your problems by asking for help on this website. We can also buy products online linked to gardening. I spoke about this website so that everyone would be able to benefit from it.

I went on « Vinted » which is a website used to sell and buy clothes, shoes, jewels because I’m a student and I don’t have a lot of money. When the website opened I tested it. I sold clothes because I didn’t have a lot of money.

 

Drawbacks

The picture may not be realistic because we can’t see the quality of the clothes. Consequently, we can be swindled by people who use this website to make dirty money with fake clothes. The last drawback is that we can’t try the clothes on.

 

Advantages

For the advantages, it enables students and people to make money. It’s cheaper than in shops. It’s great for the environment because we recycle clothes. It’s a website so you can buy clothes from all over the world if you have an internet connection

 

Opinion

« Vinted » is the greatest application to sell clothes between individuals, because it’s cheaper. And it’s faster than going shopping. To conclude, you can receive your order in a short time. Consequently, « Vinted » is the best thing I have ever tried.

                                           Easysitting

Last week, I tested a new concept of collaborative consumption: Easysitting. It consists in taking care of children and doing activities with them for free. Contrary to the classic babysitting, the concept offers many alternatives in order to make children happy. You can do it anywhere like in parks, at home, at sea or in attraction parks. Thanks to Easysitting, I took a child with me for a day and I brought him to an attraction park and he enjoyed that a lot.

 

Thanks to Easysitting : parents can leave their children when they need to work, or to travel. The concept offers a lot of different activities which are better than simply taking care of children which is boring and useless. It allows children to discover new landscapes and to be joyful. Parents don’t have to worry about the price and their children because it’s less expensive than a simple babysitting association and Easysitters are professionals. There is a website on which you can chat with other Easysitters from the region.


But there is one drawback which is very recurrent : the children’s behaviour depends on the children themselves so they might become angry unlike others who can be happy thanks to these activities which are great.
